Born
Philippines Michael completed his Bachelor of Fine Arts (Photography) at the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA) in 2000. In 1999 he was part of a photography group show at the Center of Contemporary Photography (CCP), and in the same year provided works to the Lust exhibition at the VCA Gallery. In 2001 Michael was part of the Shelter and Growth exhibition in the Goya Gallery, Fitzroy and in 2003 participated in the exhibition Talking about us which included Filipino and Australian artists at Gabriel Gallery. Michael’s most recent work, Lost geography, deals with the interweaving of memory, private fantasy, public history and recognition of the past. |
