BE MY TWIN will relate the current approach to identities, global interchange-ability and concepts of value to individual concepts at a time when the classification between GOOD and BAD, WE and THE OTHERS is getting determination the process of self-perception, the self-determination of political groups and the development of social utopias.

Simultaneously, we cannot deny the inevitable movement to a world-web web of globalized economy characterized by mutual dependencies and the evident inclination for simplification. Cultural problems as one result should not be of individual responsibility but a challenge to every cultural community. A radicalised statement to these problems is necessary and much appreciated within a society that gets more and more complex and complicated. This is how BE MY TWIN defines itself and it's significance.

Formal concept: The sculptures TWINS by Virgilius Moldovan, two oversized naturalistic female figures (silicon on polyester skeleton) form a triangle with a "photoplay" terminal; these figures are facing the terminal which enables the visitor to be photographed together with the TWINS on changing backgrounds and then to distribute the photos via the internet. The evident fun factor should lead to a game with the proper identity which has to undergo irritations by manipulated background images.
