Robin Woodroffe

Robin was born in Kew in 1941 and lived in various suburbs of Melbourne. He obtained a Diploma entrance certificate at Swinbourne Technical College and left to join his father in business as a general carpenter and joiner and did a number of varied jobs from home repairs to home building, building staircases, domestic furniture etc.

He married Kathy when he was 21 and at 22 his father retired and he bought the business. A car accident made him quadriplegic when he was 44.

He goes to a gynnasium twice a week, drives his own car, uses a lathe and goes to the movies each week and when health permits, he regularly arrives with his chair on the car roof and contributes to our Guild meetings.

There is an article written by Robin on our site about turning in a wheelchair.

He has travelled in Australia and he believes we should have a goal to achieve, keep busy and help when we can.
