Lions are members of Lions Clubs International, a community service organisation dedicated to the idea that the men and women who live in a community are in the best position to know who needs help and why. Local Clubs are part of the world's largest such organization, with 1.4 million members serving in more than 194 countries and areas. The association is both non-political and non-sectarian.

The Lions Club of Northcote was Chartered on the 1st December 1962 and met at the Croxton Park Hotel until 1995, when alterations to the "Croc" meant a new venue was needed. The Olympic Hotel Albert St Preston is the current meeting place for the first (partners night) Wednesday of each month at 6.30pm for Fellowship and Dinner.

There is adequate off street parking and all guests are welcome. If you would like to join Our Lions Club or attend a dinner meeting please ring the secretary.

The Business Meeting of the club meets on the 3rd Wednesday at Fairfield Lions Village 326 Seperation St Northcote, car park 148 Victoria Rd Northcote, 7.00pm for the Business meeting.
