Winton Cemetery

1862 - 2002
Wattle Creek Road, Winton, Victoria

Transcription of grave stones by Kelvin J Freemantle. Originally February 1981, updated March/July 2002

The cemetery seems to be broken into 5 sections, a path goes up the hill from the gate, to the right are two sections (R & RR)(Right & Right Right). To the left (L, LL & LLL) (Left, Left Left & Left Left Left). The number after R or L etc is the Row, numbering 1 nearest the front and counting towards the back. These sections would most probably be religious denominational areas. Section L row 1 has only two graves and these run at an angle to the rest and one is of a Mohammedan so this may well be a seventh section.

The transcription is broken up over two web pages. Surnames A-K here, and surnames L-Z below.
