The Mission and commitment of Guides Australia is helping young girls grow into confident, self-respecting community members. Guides Australia meets the needs of young girls and addresses the changing role of women from inner city to outback areas.
Guides Australia is working on many activities to promote interaction between the Guides and older persons and to promote positive ageing. Some of these activities are oral history, role play, sharing skills such as computer skills, self defence classes, workshops on home security, "Granny" camps and events involving older people in all aspects of the the event, movie reviews, forums on health issues and visits to local retirement villages. In one particular activity, a badge will be designed and it will worn to the IYOP specific activities.
