Australian Coalition '99 is delighted to welcome the following national organisations to our partner network:

Country Women's Association of Australia

The priorities of the CWA are to enable the seven member associations to speak with one voice on national and international matters, and work for the improvement of the welfare and conditions of women and their families in country areas.

CWA is in partnership with Australian Bankers Association, the Commonwealth Department of Family Services and other groups who address issues confronting older Australians with regard to electronic and telephone banking in Australia. They will be placing particular emphasis on rural and remote older persons.

Each member association of CWA (6 states and Northern Territory) is planning its own IYOP celebrations.

Heart Support - Australia

Heart Support- Australia is a national consumer organisation offering support, information and encouragement to people who have a heart condition and their families and carers. Members work together to support each other through branches (55 throughout Australia).

The organisation also offers a lay counselling service which free is free of charge and not conditional upon membership. It also offers education and training in lay counselling skills for branches throughout Australia.

The organisation's members have a strong social network and work in their community to promote positive ageing and life after a heart event.

National Asthma Campaign

The National Asthma Campaign (NAC) is the peak body for asthma in Australia. Its member bodies are The = Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand, They Royal Australian = College of General Practitioners, Pharmaceutical Society of Australia = and the seven Asthma Foundations (collectively know as Asthma Australia). The Psoriasis Association

Psoriasis is a common, chronic skin disease which affects approximately two to four percent of the population. The Psoriasis Association National Secretariat represents psoriasis sufferers Australia wide. It emerged in 1983 as a self-help group and has quickly established itself as the leading independent body for Psoriatics in the country, and is recognised publicly by both the medical profession and by the Federal Government.
