ORGAN HISTORICAL TRUST OF AUSTRALIA

29TH ANNUAL CONFERENCE

AUCKLAND, NEW ZEALAND

30th September - 6th October, 2006


Advance notice is given of the 2006 OHTA conference in the North Island of New Zealand, based in Auckland. The dates will be Saturday 30 September to Friday 6 October. Accommodation will be block-booked at a central city location. There will also be a country excursion down to Rotorua, in the centre of the island. Provisional highlights will include an overview of the organs of George Croft, the leading indigenous organbuilder of the early 20th century, the restored 1779 Avery organ at Ponsonby Baptist Church, of international significance and an overview of organ conservation in New Zealand. 2005 OHTA CONFERENCE BOOK


Copies of the 148-page conference book are available at a cost of $17.50 (inclusive of postage and packing within Australia) from OHTA, GPO Box 676, Sydney, NSW 2001; cheques payable to Organ Historical Trust of Australia. The book includes historical and technical details of the organs visited, many accompanied by line drawings from Graeme Rushworth, together with the programmes of the various recitals and events.
